Child Development and Behavior Branch, to work with the U.S. Department of Education (ED) in establishing a National Reading Panel that would evaluate existing research and evidence to find the best ways of teaching children to read. (National Reading Panel, 2015)
The NICHD has helped to establish or fund research on reading at more than 30 sites nation wide. One research site, The Florida Center for Reading Research at Florida State is led by Torgesen and Wagner. The site (http://www.fcrr.org/for-educators/sca.asp) has a wealth of resources for teachers. These resources are broken down by domain and grade level. These activities are well designed and I believe parents can also take advantage of some of these game like activities.
